Pastoral Profile

Under the leadership of our interim Pastor Rachel Bird, the board and congregation have developed a pastoral profile to assist in our search for a new pastor.

• Maturity and integrity - More than anything else, the next pastor should be a person of character who has been refined by God.

• Leadership - Candidates should have about 5 years of pastoral experience (lead pastor experience is a plus, but not required). We are looking for a pastor to spiritually lead and develop the congregation with a missional focus.

• Biblically sound - The next pastor should be ordained in the Church of God (Anderson) or within the ordination process. He or she should preach sermons rooted in scripture that challenge the congregation.

• Relational - We are looking for someone who desires to build relationships with the congregation and can meet us with compassion as we grow spiritually, relationally, and missionally.

Compensation

 

Due to the current size of the church, we are seeking a part-time/bi-vocational pastor, but our desire is to provide as generous a compensation package as possible and to increase it as the church grows.

​

The compensation package includes salary, housing allowance, and retirement benefits, with flexibility in how each is allocated. Additionally, there is a professional development budget and vacation time that you are actively encouraged to use.
