ADVENT 2020
Join us at Orchard View as we prepare our hearts to receive Jesus Christ fully and anew through this special and holy season. Through music, words, prayer, and candles, and meditation we focus on the reason for this season.
Advent starts on November 29 and continues through December.
To help you prepare you for this time, we have advent devotional booklets at the church for each family. Use them as you spend personal time with the Baby of Bethlehem this year!

NOVICES IN THE
SCHOOL OF LOVE
This group meets the fourth Wednesday
evening of each month at Orchard View. This a diverse multi-faith group that studies and practices meditation, contemplation, and a deeper faith in Jesus Christ. We will be observing and adapting monastic practices in the lives we live today in the world.
These include daily prayer, scripture reading, meditation, study, silence, and solitude. The group is led by former monk Jeff Maskow, who resided at the Abbey of Gethsemani in Trappist, Kentucky, which was, until his untimely death in 1968, home for world-famous theologian, author, poet, and activist Thomas Merton. Interested participants may meet with us at 7 pm.

Orchard View Church is the home practice facility for the historic Great Lakes Chorus, formed in 1938, and in 1947 was chartered as the official Grand Rapids chapter of what was then known as the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing.. The chorus offers men the opportunity to learn barbershop harmony in a large group, helps them develop their skills, and encourages them to sing in quartets.
